New Programme on 5
There's a new programme on Channel 5 tonight called Project Runway... I've read about this in a book called THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA... I'm not much of a fashion person but the show is really interesting as you see ppl trying all ways, materials to produce their work. One guy actually used some vegetable leaves to make a dress! It was real cool... For those residing in singapore, do watch it. It kinda broadens your ideas on fashion and the weirdest items that anyone can think of is actually possible in fashion. Or rather like ppl used to say "Anything is possible as long you are willing to try".
The book I'm reading as per above title... The author is Lauren Weisberger. It's a delightfully dishy novel about the all-time impossible boss in the history of impossible bosses... Or should I say the worst of the lot! It's about a small-town girl named Andrea, fresh out of college, and landed in a job that millions of gals would die for. Hired as the assistant to Miranda Priestly, the high-profile, fabulously successful editor of Runway magazine. The Devil Wears Prada gives a rich and hilarious new meaning to plaints about "The Boss From Hell". Andrea is sorely tested each and every day and often late into the night - with orders barking over the phone. As things escalate from the merely unacceptable to the downright outrageous, however, Andrea begins to realise that the job a million gals would die for may just kill her. And even if she survives, she has to decide whether or not it's worth the price of her soul.
I'm not sure if this book is sold in singapore, if it does, buy and read it... You won't regret it! This book reminds me of a fren who works in a very expensive brand company... His role is almost the same as Andrea (in the book).. After years of hard work, getting hell from the boss, all the stress he faced... And not being appreciated by the boss... that sucks man! So one day he decides to explode as the lava have finally overflowed! For him, that was the ultimate limit!
